About Kristen
She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a Depth Psychology Emphasis from Pacifica Graduate Institute, as well as Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Dr Kirchner began her clinical training in 1998 as crisis hotline counselor for victims of sexual assault. Since that time, she has acquired training and experience working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, addiction, substance abuse, self-injury, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and complex trauma.
Dr Kirchner views life as a soulful journey of growth and evolution. She believes that symptoms, behaviors, and emotions are valuable forms of communication that transform through compassionate listening, observation, and curiosity. Each of our lives has meaning and purpose. Her goal is to collaboratively create and hold a safe healing space for her clients, where consciousness can evolve, so that what feels fated can become free will. Dr Kirchner includes Jungian, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and sensorimotor psychotherapy approaches when working with her clients.
Kristen Kirchner is part of the team at Reconnect Integrative Trauma Treatment Center, a virtual trauma treatment center based in Los Angeles.
