About David

David Grill has been a licensed psychotherapist for over 35 years, specializing in the treatment of trauma as well as other difficulties and struggles that result in fear and a disconnect with ourselves, others, and life. He holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University – Los Angeles. David has extensive training and certifications in both cognitive behavioral and somatic treatment approaches and is one of the pioneers in understanding the importance of addressing both the psychological and physiological symptoms and challenges of traumatic stress and PTSD.

He has served as a faculty member, teacher, and trainer for Somatic Experiencing. Additionally, he was a faculty member for The Institute for Trauma & Loss in Children and acted as a national trainer and consultant supervisor for their National Certification Program. David has also been a faculty member and teacher at the Graduate Institute of Santa Barbara. He has presented at major conferences and conducted debriefings and trainings for corporations, businesses, and schools.

David Grill is part of the team at Reconnect Integrative Trauma Treatment Center, a virtual trauma treatment center based in Los Angeles.
